Patrick Vernon OBE film maker, cultural historian and founder of Every Generation and the 100 Great Black Britons campaign will join us as Guest Editor.
We will look back at the birth of Black History Month in 1987, with contributions from key individuals and organisations and the social and political context of Black History Month being established.
We will discuss the impact of its legacy on Politics and Grass Roots, Activism in Gender, LGBTI, Young People, Arts and Culture, Fashion and in Music, Education, Local and Government, Civil Service, Housing, the NHS and Medicine, Voluntary Sector, Social Enterprise and Care, Science and Technology, Law and Public Life.

A guaranteed 50,000 advertising funded copies will be distributed, but its not enough We need to print more…
We hope to print up to an extra 100,000 copies which will be funded by Individuals and corporate paid subscription.
The magazine will also be available for sale at a cover price of £3.95 of which £2.00 will be kept by participating organisations and charities to the help fund local charitable initiatives and BME groups.
