Bring Black History Month to life in your school this October with our dedicated resource pack for primary schools, built around the official 2025 theme.

Carefully designed for Key Stages 1 and 2, this pack helps children connect with the stories, achievements, and legacy of Black British figures through vibrant visuals, inspiring audio, and curriculum-aligned teaching materials.

  2. A selection of child-friendly mini videos, designed for younger pupils, featuring key historical figures like Mary Seacole and Walter Tull. These videos use visuals, narration and music to help pupils understand the stories in a fun and engaging way.

‍ Lesson Plans & Activities (KS1 & KS2)

We know teachers are busy. That’s why we’ve done the hard work for you.

This pack includes ready-to-use lesson plans and differentiated activities to suit different ages and learning needs.

You’ll get:

  • KS1 & KS2 lesson plans, with clear learning objectives and curriculum links
  • Worksheets that focus on reading comprehension, creativity, vocabulary and empathy
  • Creative tasks, like designing your own poster or writing letters to historical figures
  • Assembly prompts and display ideas
  • Everything is designed to be flexible — ideal for classrooms, assemblies, cross-curricular projects or enrichment days.
  • Video resources: campaign video + children’s storytelling clips

We are also developing a short series of child-friendly videos, featuring narrators telling key stories from Black British history — like Mary Seacole, Carnival culture, and the Windrush Generation — through animation, photography, and music.

These are ideal for class starters, assemblies, or PSHE time.
