United Sound of Sydenham and Sugahill Café bring you Kirkdale Funk. An evening of rare soul and funk, played on original vinyl format. Hosted by funk maestro DJ Chris Arch and introducing two of Manchester’s finest Mark Rickards and Martin Haddock.
Mark Rickards & Martin Haddock are part of the new wave of Manchester DJs that have taken the UK soul scene by storm. As well as co-hosting the highly regarded Manchester soul night – Flipside – you will find them DJing most weekends at premier soul nights all over the UK, Europe and even the US.
Mark & Martin are playing at London soul event “Color One Tear Black” on Sunday night and we’ve managed to bring them South of the river for a one-off Sugahill special on the Saturday.
