Holden, Jaz Lee & NIA

Tuesday 29 April

In a series of special showcases, our Roundhouse Resident Artists will take centre stage. This is a unique opportunity for each artist to present their work and celebrate their creative journeys.

The Resident Artist program empowers outstanding emerging talent across music, theatre, and spoken word, providing year-long support through workshops, masterclasses, and mentorship. Join us in discovering these remarkable artists as they share their passion, creativity, and vision on the Roundhouse stage.

Originally from Cheshire, Holden is an artist and producer who moved to London in 2019 to develop his distinctive musical style. Seamlessly blending spoken word with sung melodies, Holden’s work features intricate musical textures and innovative production. A Goldsmiths graduate, he’s made his mark on London’s live scene with performances at venues like Moth Club and Paper Dress Vintage. His debut single My Friend dropped in 2023, showcasing soft, emotive vocals set against bold, experimental drum breaks. Now, as a Roundhouse Resident, he’s working on his debut EP, Non/Fiction, and plans to create an immersive live show to bring his storytelling to life.

NIA is a Birmingham born, London based singer, songwriter and producer intertwining a soothing vocal with elements of spoken word. Nia offers a a blend of journalistic storytelling and soothing melodies in a fusion of jazz, neo-soul and hip-hop.
After releasing her debut EP ‘41n’ in 2022, NIA has been cementing her reputation across the London jazz scene as one to watch.
This has included playing at renowned venues such as Ronnie Scott’s & Woolwich Works, performing alongside the likes of the Sugar Hill Gang & Bel Cobain along with hosting a monthly radio show on Peckham based platform – Balamii.

Jaz Lee is a London based multi instrumentalist and composer. Having established himself as a member of Balimaya Project and performed with the likes of Wizkid, Celeste, Tom Misch and Olivia Dean, Jaz is now preparing to launch his solo practice with debut material in 2024. His sound embodies the rich culture of the London jazz scene, drawing inspiration from the people, experiences and vibrations that surround him in life, the studio and on stage.

The Roundhouse Resident Artist programme is a PRS Foundation Talent Development Partner Supported by PPL.

This event is a part of Roundhouse Three Sixty, a brand new festival of music and culture across the month of April. Click here to discover the full programme.
