Hidden in Plain Sight: Exhibition Launch

Wed 11 October 2017 17:30 – 19:30

Join us for the launch of our exhibition, with a special focus on celebrating the contributions of Black and Minority Ethnic nurses. Hear from Wendy Irwin, the RCN’s Diversity & Equality Co-ordinator, about why we’re celebrating diversity in nursing, with particular emphasis on the contributions of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic nurses, lesbian nurses and deaf mental health nursing.

Our main speaker for this evening is Yvonne Coghill OBE, Director of NHS Workforce Race Equality Standard Implementation. Yvonne will share her reflections and observations about the importance of challenging racism and its relevance to delivering better outcomes for all patients and staff. It promises to be a lively and thought-provoking evening.

This event will be live subtitled, with a BSL interpreter. The talk will be followed by a drinks reception and exhibition viewing.
