Order Black History Month Magazine 2025 Today

Join us in sharing this year’s powerful theme — “Standing Firm in Power and Pride.” To help keep the magazine free and accessible across the UK, we invite organisations, schools, councils and community groups to support us by ordering copies for your networks and events.

This year’s theme, “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” is a powerful tribute to the resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment to progress that defines Black communities across the globe. It celebrates the profound contributions of Black leaders, activists, artists, and pioneers — while urging us all to stand tall in our own identity and purpose.

A Word from Our Editor, Cherron Inko-Tariah MBE

“The theme for Black History Month UK 2025 highlights two core values: power and pride. Power represents influence, leadership, and the collective strength that drives change. Pride celebrates identity, culture, and the enduring excellence within Black communities. This edition of the magazine will honour key anniversaries including the 60th anniversary of the Race Relations Act, the death of Malcolm X, and the historic Pan African Conference. These are not just moments to remember, but calls to action. Let us honour those who came before us by continuing the work — unapologetically and together.”

Voices of Leadership

In 2025, the magazine will continue this mission by featuring exclusive interviews with leaders who have influenced and inspired — including Lord Boateng, Baroness Young, and Baroness Benjamin.

We will also be honouring the legacies of Lord Herman Ouseley and Paul Stephenson, alongside contributions from community historian Patrick Vernon OBE and many others. These voices ensure that the 2025 edition remains a vital national platform, carrying authority and resonance.

Stories Brought to Life

Each of our six themed posters will be featured within the magazine itself, so readers can scan and hear the stories of 36 different individuals — from pioneers and activists to artists and parliamentarians. This makes the magazine more than pages to read; it’s an interactive experience connecting past and present.

Why Your Support Matters

To keep the magazine free and accessible, we distribute through ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, public libraries, universities, community centres, and Black History Month events.

This year, we are doing more with less. Sponsorship support has been harder to secure in the current climate, but our commitment to delivering a high-quality magazine and education resources remains unchanged. That is why bulk orders are more important than ever — they directly help us maintain free access in schools, libraries, youth groups, and community organisations.

Every box purchased helps us:

  • Maintain free access in schools, libraries, youth groups, and community organisations.
  • Elevate voices, stories, and histories that are too often underrepresented.
  • Celebrate and amplify this year’s theme with the reach it deserves.
