We’re a modern trade union that is committed to tackling discrimination and promoting equality. We are working to create an inclusive world of work where Black workers do not have to go to work fearing discrimination, and we want you to join us.
Community is proud of our campaigning and work around diversity and equality. Through our network of Equalities Reps, we are championing the rights of Black workers. This includes negotiating with employers on vital policy to tackle unequal pay, lack of career progression, and insecure contracts, which disproportionately affect Black workers. Furthermore, we are campaign both locally and nationally to ensure Black workers’ voices are heard and to highlight the issues faced by Black people across all sectors of the UK economy.
We represent members and their families across all industries and sectors in the UK. While many other unions specialise in specific industry sectors, Community is proud to be an inclusive organisation. We welcome members from every sector and job type from all over the UK and can support you with:
