WALK on Black Activism

Short walk: Part 2: Padmore and African Independence

A journalist, radical activist, and theoretician, Padmore did more than perhaps any other single individual to shape the theory and discourse of Pan-African anti-imperialism in the first half of the twentieth century.”

Find out about this towering figure in global politics and change, where he lived in an unassuming street. This short walk fits into your lunchtime.

This event is a FUNDRAISER by the Somers Town History Space for a ‘People’s Museum’ – Radicals, Reformers & Rebels.

Professor Esther Leslie is kindly offering this walk as part of SOCIAL JUSTICE WALKS for the Think ‘N Do Event for the local community.

We set off at 1.30pm sharp from the Ossuslton TRA Hall and ends there at 2pm.

Walk at your own risk. Books available at the event. Free to locals: Donations welcome to support our aim of opening a museum.
