Take part in our family-friendly walk around the University of Leeds Campus & learn about the narratives of Black lives connected with Leeds.

 

The Leeds Black History Walk is a family-friendly walk, accessible to wheelchair users, around the University of Leeds Campus. Join us in our special 15th annual season, as we delve into rich selected narratives of the forgotten heritage of Black British lives.

From ancient/medieval Africa we set a context on the Black presence in Britain, dating back to Roman times and right up to contemporary Leeds. Learn more about Black British History and powerful figures of our past that influence our day-to-day lives – hidden in plain sight.
