This engaging and interactive show follows Alicia on a time-travelling journey through history, uncovering powerful and often overlooked stories of Black British heritage. Along the way, audiences encounter historic heroes, hidden heroines and surprising moments that challenge and expand our understanding of the past.
Blending storytelling, performance and audience participation, the production invites children and adults alike to explore questions of identity, belonging and history in an accessible and imaginative way. The show encourages curiosity and conversation, making it ideal for families, schools and community groups.
Created and performed by Alicia McKenzie, the production has been praised for its ability to bring history to life through playful, inclusive and thought-provoking storytelling.
