This uplifting event celebrates the legacy, culture and contributions of the Windrush Generation, bringing people together through music, dance and shared community spirit. Open to all, the day is designed as a welcoming and inclusive space where families, friends and visitors can come together to honour history while enjoying a lively programme of activities.
Taking place in St Agnes Park in the heart of St Pauls, the celebration will feature a mix of entertainment, community engagement and cultural expression, reflecting the rich heritage and ongoing influence of Caribbean communities in the UK.
From live performances and social dancing to opportunities for connection and reflection, the event offers a meaningful way to commemorate Windrush Day while celebrating unity, resilience and cultural pride.
Founded in Bristol, Steppin Sistas is a grassroots community group supporting women of colour through wellbeing activities, connection and shared cultural experiences, with this annual celebration forming part of their wider work in bringing communities together.
