African Caribbean Health & Wellbeing Day brings community members, organisations and health professionals together in Leicester for a day focused on improving health, sharing information and supporting wellbeing within African and Caribbean communities.
Organised by the African Heritage Alliance, the event builds on previous health and wellbeing activity at Leicester’s African Caribbean Centre.
The programme provides an opportunity for visitors to learn more about health conditions and wellbeing issues while connecting directly with organisations and professionals working to improve community health.
Events of this kind can play an important role in making health information more accessible, particularly when communities are able to ask questions and discuss concerns in a familiar and culturally responsive environment.
The wider programme includes health information, wellbeing activity and opportunities for organisations to engage directly with members of the community.
Taking place during Black History Month 2026, the event recognises that celebrating Black communities also means addressing the issues that affect people’s everyday lives.
By bringing community knowledge and professional expertise together, African Caribbean Health & Wellbeing Day aims to encourage healthier lives while creating opportunities for conversation, learning and collaboration.
