Tastes of Nigeria Food Festival

Saturday 3rd October 2026

Celebrate the flavours, music and cultural traditions of Nigeria at the Tastes of Nigeria Food Festival, a vibrant community event taking place in Wrexham during Black History Month 2026.

Hosted at Wrexham Memorial Hall, the festival brings together food vendors, cooks, performers, artists and members of the community for an afternoon celebrating the richness and diversity of Nigerian culture.

Visitors will be able to discover a wide selection of Nigerian dishes, from much-loved traditional favourites to contemporary interpretations created by local food businesses and independent traders. Live cooking demonstrations will offer opportunities to learn more about the ingredients, techniques and stories behind Nigerian cuisine.

The programme also includes cultural performances, music and family activities designed to create a welcoming experience for visitors of different ages and backgrounds.

A creative marketplace will showcase independent businesses, makers and cultural organisations, giving visitors the opportunity to discover original products while supporting entrepreneurs and community enterprises.

More than a food event, the festival aims to bring people together through shared experiences of culture, music and hospitality. It offers an opportunity for members of the Nigerian community to celebrate their heritage while introducing wider audiences to the traditions, creativity and warmth associated with Nigerian life.

Children and young people under 18 are welcome when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Paid parking is available near the venue.

Whether you come to experience new flavours, enjoy the entertainment or connect with the local community, the Tastes of Nigeria Food Festival promises an uplifting celebration filled with food, music, colour and culture.
