South Wales African Vibes 2.0 brings African music, food, culture and community together for a seven-hour celebration in Newport.
Presented by Dudu Heritage, the event invites people from across South Wales and beyond to experience an afternoon and evening centred on African identity, rhythm and unity.
Music and dance will form an important part of the celebration, creating a lively atmosphere in which guests can connect, socialise and enjoy contemporary African sounds.
Food and refreshments will also be available, giving visitors an opportunity to experience flavours connected with African culinary traditions.
The organisers describe the event as an inclusive celebration of community and culture, welcoming families, friends and visitors from different backgrounds.
As well as entertainment, the gathering provides a space for members of African communities in Wales to celebrate their heritage, meet new people and build connections.
The event takes place in The Gwent Suite at the Holiday Inn Newport. Free parking is available, and discounted hotel accommodation may be offered through the venue.
Photography and filming will take place during the event. Visitors who do not wish to appear in promotional material are advised to speak to the organisers.
Although held before Black History Month, South Wales African Vibes 2.0 is a strong addition to the year-round cultural listings, providing valuable representation for Newport and celebrating African culture within South Wales.
