Contemporary soul singer and songwriter Jalen Ngonda brings his Doctrine of Love Tour to Cardiff, accompanied by special guest Brooke Combe.
Blending the warmth of classic soul with a contemporary songwriting style, Jalen has established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in the current international soul scene.
His rich, expressive vocals and live musicianship draw inspiration from the golden age of soul without simply recreating the past. Instead, his music connects those traditions with the experiences and sound of a contemporary artist.
The tour supports his second album, Doctrine of Love, following the critical response to his debut, Come Around and Love Me.
Over recent years, Jalen has progressed from intimate club performances to international festivals, theatres and major concert venues, building a reputation for live shows centred on musicianship and emotional connection.
He is joined in Cardiff by Brooke Combe, whose own music combines soul influences with a contemporary British perspective.
Taking place at The Great Hall during Black History Month, the concert provides an opportunity to celebrate the continuing development of Black soul music and the new generation of artists carrying that tradition forward.
The venue advises that the event is strictly for people aged 14 and over. Entry is via Senghennydd Road, and the performance may include flashing or strobe lighting.
