Award-winning comedian Bilal Zafar comes to Aberystwyth Comedy Festival with Rubicon, a new multimedia and interactive stand-up show combining storytelling, games and audience participation.
Known for his inventive approach to comedy, Bilal creates shows that move beyond a conventional stand-up format. In Rubicon, audiences can expect stories, interactive challenges and opportunities to win prizes, all held together by his distinctive comic perspective.
Bilal was nominated for the Lastminute.com Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer and has received several awards for his work as a live performer.
His television appearances include programmes on BBC One, BBC Two and Channel 4, while his live shows have earned praise for combining carefully constructed ideas with unpredictable audience interaction.
The performance takes place in the intimate Dance Studio 3 at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, giving audiences a close-up experience of a comedian whose work often depends on the relationship he develops with the room.
Presented as part of Aberystwyth Comedy Festival 2026, the show offers a contemporary comedy event during the opening weekend of Black History Month.
