Myles Sanko – I See My Light Tour

Sunday 11th October 2026

Internationally acclaimed British soul and jazz artist Myles Sanko comes to Norwich with his I See My Light Tour, presenting music from a deeply personal new album shaped by soul, jazz, hip-hop and rhythmic influences from his Ghanaian heritage.

Sanko has developed a distinctive place within contemporary soul by drawing upon classic musical traditions without being confined by them. Jazz sophistication, soul vocals and hip-hop influences sit alongside rhythms connected with his Ghanaian heritage, creating music informed by different parts of the African diaspora.

His work reflects a musical journey shaped by heritage, independence and an interest in bringing different traditions together.

Creative independence has also become an important part of Sanko’s story. Taking greater control over composing, producing and releasing his work has allowed him to shape both the sound and direction of his music on his own terms.

His latest material continues his exploration of self-acceptance and personal growth, moving towards themes of clarity, resilience, hope and recognising your own value.

For the I See My Light Tour, Sanko is joined by a live band bringing together piano, Rhodes, synthesiser, drums, percussion, guitar, bass, tenor saxophone and flute.

The result is a rich live sound capable of moving between intimate soul and expansive jazz arrangements.

The Norwich date provides a particularly strong addition to the city’s Black History Month cultural programme because it represents Black British music as a contemporary and continually evolving art form rather than looking exclusively towards the past.

Sanko’s music also reflects the international nature of modern Black British identity, with British soul and jazz interacting naturally with African heritage and wider diasporic musical traditions.

Black History Month offers an opportunity not only to celebrate historical achievements but to recognise the artists creating culture today. Sanko represents a generation of Black British musicians whose work moves confidently between traditions while reaching audiences internationally.

For anyone interested in soul, jazz and contemporary Black British music, Myles Sanko – I See My Light Tour promises an intimate evening with an artist whose work demonstrates how heritage, independence and new musical ideas can combine to create a distinctly modern sound.
