Renaissance 2026: Global Origins: Stories Untold brings together a new generation of designers and artists from around the world for an evening of fashion, visual art, performance and cultural storytelling in the heart of London.
Taking place at Devonshire Square, the event will feature around 20 young creatives whose work draws on heritage, migration, memory, folklore, family and identity.
From Nigeria to Taiwan, North Macedonia to Indonesia and beyond, participating artists and designers will use clothing, painting, photography, sculpture, fabric and live performance to explore where they come from and how those origins continue to shape their creative practice.
Rather than telling these stories through speeches or formal presentations, Global Origins places the work itself at the centre of the experience. Visitors will be able to move through the exhibition, encounter individual pieces up close and watch designs take to the runway throughout the evening.
The event follows the success of the first Renaissance show, which welcomed 250 guests and sold out without paid promotion. Since then, the project has continued to grow its audience, creating a platform for emerging creatives who may not yet have gained wider recognition within the fashion and arts industries.
Global Origins: Stories Untold expands on that original concept by bringing runway, exhibition and live creative work together in one space.
The event offers audiences the chance to discover emerging names while exploring the different ways culture and personal history can be expressed through contemporary art and design.
For Black History Month audiences, the event provides an opportunity to engage with work by creatives from Africa and the wider global diaspora alongside artists from other cultural backgrounds, creating a broader conversation about identity, movement and belonging.
RENAISSANCE 2026: GLOBAL ORIGINS: STORIES UNTOLD takes place at Devonshire Square in the City of London on Saturday 29th August 2026, from 4:30pm to 9:30pm.
