Black Zine Fair

Saturday 17 October 2026

Discover a new generation of Black independent creators at Brixton Library’s Black Zine Fair, celebrating the continuing tradition of Black self-publishing.

The fair brings together makers of fanzines, personal zines, art publications and independent writing. Visitors can explore affordable, handmade and cut-and-paste publications created outside mainstream publishing.

The programme names participating stalls including Waiting2XHair, Art As Activism, Stefan Zinemaker, Mary Keeps Going, Sweet-Thang zine, Creates.des and Rierites.

The event provides an opportunity to discover different approaches to storytelling and visual expression while supporting Black zine makers and small publishers.

Black zine makers and small-press publications interested in taking part can contact the library to enquire about remaining stall space.
