About Errol Linton

Born and raised in Brixton, Errol Linton is regarded as one of the finest blues musicians to emerge from the UK. A master harmonica player, singer and songwriter, he has developed a distinctive sound that is entirely his own.

Linton began his musical journey in London’s vibrant street-music scene. His talent has since taken him to major festivals, celebrated jazz and blues clubs and stages around the world.

His harmonica playing recalls blues greats such as Little Walter and Sonny Boy Williamson, while his distinctive fusion of blues and reggae places him firmly in a category of his own.

A three-time winner of the UK’s Blues Harmonica Player of the Year award, Linton has been championed by leading BBC broadcasters including Andy Kershaw and Paul Jones. Albums such as Packing My Bags and No Entry demonstrate his gift for storytelling through vivid tales of love, struggle and resilience.

With a career spanning several decades, Errol Linton continues to redefine contemporary British blues, honouring its traditions while creating music that feels fresh, vibrant and unmistakably his own.
