As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms decision-making across global industries, a critical question emerges: who truly benefits from these technologies—and who gets left behind?
Kellogg College’s Black History Month Lecture features Landé Belo, one of the UK’s leading experts on employment law, equality and organisational change.
Drawing on her expertise in global employment law and AI regulation, Landé will explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the workplace. She will examine its opportunities and risks through the lens of race, fairness and inclusion, asking how these technologies can advance equality rather than reinforce existing biases.
The lecture will be introduced by Shreya Atrey, Associate Professor of International Human Rights Law and Racial Justice and Equality Fellow at Kellogg College.
Landé Belo has worked in employment law for more than 20 years. She began her career as a City solicitor before moving in-house to BP and later founding one of the UK’s first virtual law firms. She has since held senior positions at Colt Technologies, American Express Global Business Travel and Brambles, and is currently Group Legal Director at Kantar.
Alongside her legal career, Landé founded the Ain’t I A Woman? initiative, which champions Black women in the arts. She was recognised as a Senior Leader in Professional Services at the 2025 Black British Business Awards.
The event will be particularly relevant to professionals and students interested in business leadership, human resources, technology, AI development, law, public policy, ethics, higher education and the social sciences.
