An uplifting community celebration recognising the history, strength, resilience and continuing achievements of Black women.
Celebrating Our Women brings people together in Salford for an afternoon and evening honouring the remarkable contributions Black women have made throughout history and within communities today.
The event will explore stories of achievement, leadership, culture and community service while creating opportunities for women and families to meet, learn and celebrate together.
Visitors can expect inspiring speakers, engaging activities and conversations highlighting the experiences and achievements of Black women. The programme will recognise the strength and resilience of women who have supported families, built organisations, led businesses and improved their communities.
The event will also create space for new relationships to be formed and for people to share their experiences, knowledge and aspirations.
By connecting history with the lives of women working and leading today, the celebration will show how the achievements of earlier generations continue to inspire progress.
This welcoming event is open to anyone who wants to recognise Black women’s history, celebrate community excellence and support the next generation.
