Storytelling Residency Day 2: Shadows & Secrets with Diana Olutunmogun

Saturday 31 October 2026

Join storyteller and heritage artist Diana Olutunmogun for a day of mysterious tales, cultural folklore and creative crafts at Valence House.

Diana’s final residency day brings a month-long exploration of Villainy, the Other, and the Unknown to a close. Settle into the historic Parlour for two immersive storytelling sessions uncovering dark histories, hidden corners and stories passed down through generations.

After each storytelling session, take part in a Craft Lab workshop and make your own creepy souvenir to take home. Expect plenty of imagination and some wonderfully messy making.

11.00am–12.30pm: Legends of the Shadows

Gather in the Parlour for a journey through ancient tales and mysterious lore, followed by a hands-on spooky craft workshop.

1.30pm–3.00pm: Tales from Beyond

Discover forgotten stories and enchanting cultural myths brought to life, before getting creative in a messy craft session.
