Talking Therapies presents: Moving past the stigma- Race and mental health

22 October, 12pm to 2pm

Talking Therapies presents a two-part webinar focusing on mental health and race.

Part one of the webinar will be a reflective space which will focus on people’s own experiences of wellbeing within their cultures. Issues to be discussed include stigmas around mental health, the impact of culture on mental health, and ways of coping within specific cultures.

Part two, facilitated by mental health professionals, will focus on expanding our horizons around mental health and learning about what support there is available for people. This part of the webinar will: define what mental health and anxiety are, consider how we develop resilience to manage stressful situations and expectations around racism, and let people know where they can go for help and resources.
