African Soul Rebels: Les Amazones d’Afrique, Gasper Nali + Support
Friday 2nd October 2026
African Soul Rebels brings a powerful night of music to Brighton Dome, showcasing artists who blend tradition with contemporary sound and place African creativity at the centre of global culture.
#Headlining the evening are Les Amazones d’Afrique, a collective of West African musicians known for combining traditional rhythms with modern production and a strong message of unity, empowerment and social change. Their work has gained international recognition, with performances on major stages and a growing global audience.
Joining them is Malawian musician Gasper Nali, whose distinctive sound is created using the babatoni — a handmade, one-string bass instrument. His performances combine rhythm, melody and innovation, producing energetic Afrobeat-inspired music that has attracted widespread attention online and on tour.
The evening also features emerging talent curated by BBC Introducing, highlighting new voices pushing boundaries across music and culture. As part of the Music Beyond Mainstream series, the event celebrates artists who challenge genres, connect communities and explore themes of identity, resistance and creativity.
