Fela Kuti’s Birthday

Monday 17th October

Fela’s former bandmate Bukky Leo assembles a group of London’s finest afrobeat musicians to honour the life and legacy of a musical icon.

A pioneer of the afrobeat genre, Fela gifted the world songs like ‘Beasts of No Nation’, ‘Zombie’ and ‘Water No Get Enemy’.

Bukky himself is undoubtedly one of the most important afrobeat musicians alive today. His ‘Felabration’ show here in Camden two years ago, paying homage to the great man’s music, was such a hit that we felt we needed to bring Bukky back for more of the same.
