Black player Laurie Cunningham, along with Brendon Batson and Cyrille Regis, defied racial abuse and physical threats in 70’s Britain to produce dazzling football. Combining compelling drama with music and speeches from the period, Getting The Third Degree tells Laurie Cunningham’s powerful and deeply moving story. Getting The Third Degree was commissioned by Kick it Out to recognise the 25th anniversary of its ongoing battle against discrimination in football.
