To accompany ‘Zanzibar’s Story’, Dr Johnson’s House is presenting a special exhibit of books, prints and ceramics exploring 18th-century attitudes towards slavery. Discover Johnson’s progressive views on the subject, and the remarkable life of Francis Barber, a former Jamaican slave who became Johnson’s heir.
