Pop Up Kitchen Fundraiser

Wed, 28 October 2020 18:00 – 22:00 GMT

Come along and celebrate the end of Black History Month in style at Ridley Road Social Club with two amazing chefs who cannot wait to showcase their incredible food for you all.

The first is Ewan Jerk who comes from St. Thomas who will be cooking flavours from the Jamaican community in Portland, know locally as ‘Boston Jerk’. The second is Tuty from Gambia, a mum of four famous locally for her signature dish of Jollof Rice.

Due to Covid restrictions, please only come in your household groups. Let us know by emailing getahelpinghand4@gmail.com whether you would like a 6.30pm or 8.30pm booking and confirm your group size.

We are fundraising to create a safe space to uncover the stories of those business and communities and put programs, events and solutions in place to get Gillet Square back to what it once was: a place for people of all backgrounds to join the passionate local community to share, learn and love. The importance of this is heightened by the understanding and desire to help of local residents on the Black Lives Matter movement. Our local black community are feeling the hardships of gentrification, Covid-19 and lack of council support. They need you. We need you.
