Diversity Rocks is a concert celebrating the diversity of Coventry and Warwickshire’s communities.

The evening’s entertainment will be hosted by BBC radio presenter, Brody Swain, and will include acts from a wide variety of musical genres including as 2 Tone, Gospel, Polish music, Bhangra, Reggae, Rock and Spoken Word.

 

Leading the line-up will be Neville Staple and His Band, best-known as a form member of The Specials, achieving huge success with hits such as Ghost Town, A Message to You Rudy and Too Much Too Young.

 

Also taking to the stage is, Ruder Than U; a band spawned out of the smash-hit Belgrade Theatre musical, Three Minute Heroes. Following the huge success of the show, the band have continued to tour the UK playing a mix of ska and 2 Tone hits.

 

Diversity Rocks marks the 40th anniversary of Rock Against Racism, a movement which sparked marches, festivals and concerts across the UK, aimed at fighting racism through music, from 1976 – 1981. It also follows on from Coventry’s famous Festival Against Racism which was held at the Butts Stadium in Coventry in 1981.
