Black Girls Hike: Surrey – Kenley and Coulsdon Commons (Saturday 5th November, 10am) Moderate/Difficult: 8.5km

 

We’ll be visiting some City of London Commons and Croydon Council land known collectively as South London Downs National Nature reserve. There is a mix of grassland, woodland, muddy and rocky paths and moderate hill climbs.

Can I come to Black Girls Hike?

As the name suggests, this is a safe space for Black/Mixed Race cis and trans women and non-binary people of Black African and / or Caribbean descent who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of Black women. We are not a BAME, POC, BIPOC, WOC, Politically Black or Ally organisation.

What do I need to bring?

  • Walking boots / shoes with ankle support essential. No pumps or sliders.
  • Food and water
  • Extra layers
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Rucksack
  • Please ensure any medication is bought with you e.g., asthma pump or epi pen
