Black Girls Hike

Black Girls Hike: Surrey/London – Coulsdon to Whyteleafe (Sunday 6th May, 10:30am) Moderate/Difficult: 9km

 

Difficulty: Moderate/Difficult – This is a point A to B walk. Walking from Coulsdon South station to Whyteleafe. 4 hour walk including breaks. We will be visiting some City of London Commons and Croydon Council land known collectively as South London Downs National Nature reserve. There is a mix of grassland, woodland, muddy and rocky paths and moderate hill climbs. There may be animals grazing on the route. There will be a lunch break halfway, please bring your lunch with you. There are toilets on this route. Good trainers will a tread and ankle support should be fine. No pumps or flat shoes.

How much is it? Suggested donation £5 As a registered non-profit, your support helps our

community grow. Enabling us to provide opportunities for Black women across the UK to

explore and reconnect with nature.

Can I come to Black Girls Hike?

As the name suggests, this is a safe space for Black/Mixed Race cis and trans women and

non-binary people of Black African and / or Caribbean descent who are comfortable in a

space that centres the experiences of Black women. We are not a BAME, POC, BIPOC,

WOC, Politically Black or Ally organisation.
