TPF TALKS: A space for the next gen of photographers to learn, collaborate & ask questions.
For October’s edition of TPF Talks we’re excited to be hosting a very special panel in celebration of Black History Month.
The panel will host Black creatives, activists & educators who will share their career journeys, their experiences of navigating the industry, and their stories & tips – whilst opening up a space for a wider conversation centred around wellbeing and resilience.
The panel
Fikayo Adebajo
Fikayo Adebajo will be facilitating the panel. She is a visual artist from Lagos who is based in London. Fikayo is a member of the Barbican’s Young Visual Artist Group, an alumni of TPF’s Training Programme and Assistant Curator at Tate.
Myah Jeffers
Myah Jeffers is a Barbadian-British multi-disciplinary artist working across photography, film, and theatre. Her work explores the notion of “truth” within Black diasporic experiences.
Virgilia Facey
Virgilia Facey is the founder of The Colour Balance, a platform widening access to photography for BIPOC communities. She is also the co-founder of They Gather, a creative production company connecting brands to inclusive shoot teams and diverse creatives.
Denise Brown
Denise Brown is fashion stylist & motivational speaker, whose distinctive style has led her to dress some of the biggest names in pop culture including Kanye West, Ed Sheeran and Tinie Tempa.
Teelo Vasiliou
Teelo Vasiliou is the co-founder of Frame Perfect, The Collective, a production company specialising in providing visual branding in photography, video and brand design.
About TPF Talks
TPF TALKS is a platform that amplifies under-represented voices & professionals working in the industry to encourage the next generation of photographers and creatives to be part of the conversation & build their networks.
At our talks you can expect:
- Creatives sharing their work and career journey – followed by an audience Q&A!
- Space to network & connect with other photographers and creatives
- An opportunity to speak to staff & trainees about our Training Programme
Event & ticket information
- The bar will be open for refreshments and networking from 6.30pm
- The talk will start at 7pm and finish by 8pm
- This event is free – but we will be selling zines and accepting donations during the event
- The event is on the ground floor with wheel chair accessible doors.
