Learn the Lyrics, Harmonies and Vibes
Whether you already know your Lovers Rock classics or simply want to experience something new, the workshop has been designed as an accessible and enjoyable musical session.
Participants will learn lyrics and harmonies before singing the songs together, creating an afternoon centred on music, participation and community.
Organisers describe this as their first event in Ladbroke Grove, bringing their reggae workshop from East to West London.
A Celebration of Lovers Rock
Lovers Rock has a special place within British Black music culture, and the workshop provides an opportunity to enjoy the music collectively rather than simply listen to it.
You do not need to be an experienced singer or a reggae expert to take part. The event welcomes music lovers who want to join in, discover the songs and enjoy the atmosphere.
Light refreshments will also be served during the event.
The Lovers Rock Workshop takes place on Saturday 24 October from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
