Africa Fashion Week London 2024

Saturday 12 October

We are thrilled to announce the 14th edition of Africa Fashion Week London, Europe’s largest annual African fashion event, as part of Black History Month 2024.

Join us on 11th and 12th October at the Kensington and Chelsea Conference Event Centre for an unforgettable experience featuring:

  • Over 30 African-heritage vendor brands to browse and shop
  • 3 Catwalk showcases featuring the best African designers in the world.
  • Cultural performances and entertainment
  • UK Africa Trade Expo with discussions on African trade, fashion, culture, and heritage.

The jam-packed itinerary starts with the free to attend UKATE (UK Africa Trade Expo) on Friday 11th October which features speakers from African Trade partners, Education specialists and industry leaders from across the Continent. We are delighted to announce Enish Restaurants will be one of the main sponsors of UKATE and hosting an exclusive evening event on the Friday which will herald the start of Saturday’s catwalk showcases.

Other highlights include the latest fabric designs from the Adire Oodua Textile Hub, a tribute to African fashion icons, a showcase of sustainable fashion practices, and a marketplace featuring African fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands.

On Saturday 12 October, we start our Catwalk Showcases by welcoming back Mary Martin London who is opening the catwalk at 1pm with a special 45minute retrospective showcase of her 10 years at AFWL.

We are also delighted that Samson Soboye will be closing out the VIP 7pm catwalk with an incredible show of Black Majesty. Other confirmed designers include David Wej Lagos, Made in Africa, Simeogieme, Tote London and the Adire Oodua Textile Hub.

Expect our favourite Trade & Investment Kwa Zulu Natal designers to take us on a new journey of intricate beading and embellishment that is signature of their collections and look out for House of Sluvin.

Savour the best black-owned food vendors in our food hall and sip a signature cocktail by London Manya, sparking Palm Wine experts, while watching the shows.
