Take a journey through the music of Miles Davis as the Axel Kaner-Lidstrom Quartet celebrates one of jazz’s most influential and visionary artists.
Following a series of sold-out shows, the ensemble returns to Toulouse Lautrec for an electrifying performance as part of the venue’s Black History Month programme.
The evening travels through the defining eras of Miles Davis’s extraordinary career. From the spacious, introspective beauty of Kind of Blue to the daring improvisation and rhythmic freedom of the Second Great Quintet, this special performance traces the evolution of a sound that changed jazz forever.
Expect timeless compositions, fearless musical interplay and exhilarating improvisation as some of London’s most accomplished young musicians bring Davis’s music vividly to life.
Capturing the freedom, fire and restless creativity at the heart of his work, the musicians pay tribute to Miles Davis while bringing their own energy and personality to every performance.
