Nitin Sawhney

Sunday 23 July

Inspirate and Curve are excited to bring Nitin Sawhney to Leicester, celebrating Sawhney’s latest album ‘Immigrants’, released in March 2021 along with his back catalogue work.

Immigrants’ is a unique celebration of immigrants around the world, showcasing works inspired and contributed by artists who either identify themselves as immigrants, are from immigrant heritage or wish to express support for those international immigrants who have found themselves judged or disadvantaged by pure accident of birth. ‘Immigrants’ will showcase Sawhney in inimitable collaborations with fellow artists as he deftly redefines our perception of identity through the universal language of music.

This special concert is part of Inspirate’s flagship festival, An Indian Summer, happening in Leicester on Sunday 23rd July. An Indian Summer celebrates the shared culture between South Asia and the UK, bringing a unique and contemporary blend of South Asian arts, culture and food to Curve Theatre and Orton Square for the day.
