Contributors draw on their own lives to reflect on significant challenges and questions of self-worth, belonging, African heritage and Black history.
The publication highlights the importance of women telling their own stories, preserving cultural memory and sharing experiences with future generations.
Taking place at Leicester’s African Caribbean Centre, the launch offers an opportunity to engage with the voices and experiences behind the book as part of the city’s Black History Month programme.
