Balham & Tooting Community & Sports Club presents its second annual Black History Month Fundraising Gala—an evening of food, music, poetry, entertainment and community celebration.
Guests can enjoy a formal dinner, show and dance featuring live music, steel pan, gospel, lovers rock, rhythm and blues, soul, jazz, poetry and spoken word.
The evening’s performers include:
- Delphina James – steel pan
- JJ Born to Sing – gospel
- True Identity – lovers rock, R&B classics and revival
- Floetic Lara – poet and vocalist
- Realitie – poet and vocalist
- Jodie – soul, jazz and classics
- JB Crew – guest DJs
- Redman People’s Choice and Papa Manzie – resident DJs
A Caribbean buffet prepared by Pierre’s Finest Cuisine will be served at 7pm, and a licensed bar will be available throughout the evening.
The programme will also include a Black History Month quiz, an auction and a raffle. Auction prizes include a helicopter flight over London. Guests will also hear from dignitaries representing Wandsworth Council, with high commissioners expected to attend.
Come dressed for the occasion and enjoy a cultural evening filled with good food, music, entertainment and positive community spirit while supporting the club’s fundraising work.
