Only Joking: light entertainment with stand-up comic Quincy.
This live show celebrates one of Newham’s best and brightest comedians in the business today. With over a decade of experience in the industry and further success as a writer, actor, and radio presenter, Quincy brings the jokes back to Newham for this one-off community event.
Presented by The New Black Film Collective, Only Joking aims to highlight Stratford’s rich history of stand up comedy and inspire the next generation of Newham comics. The background to the project included a series of workshops training new comics to created stand-up routines based on their own experiences as well as an archival research project delving into the history of Stratford’s comedy scene – this live stand-up community performance is a culmination of the entire project.
Open to all ages, this event aims to be accessible to all. It will feature BSL interpretation for any audience members who are deaf/hard of hearing.
