Following two hit UK tours, multi-award-winning comedian and resident (junior) doctor Michael Akadiri brings his latest show Don’t Call Me Uncle! to Norwich.
Known for his sharp wit and politically punchy humour, Akadiri blends personal storytelling with observations on identity, perception and everyday life. Despite being in his early 30s, he recently found himself being called “uncle” in public — a moment that sparks this new show and sends him spiralling into a hilarious exploration of how we are seen versus who we really are.
As seen on Comedy Central LIVE, ITV’s Stand Up Sketch and Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer, and heard on BBC Radio 4 and Capital Xtra, Akadiri has quickly become one of the most exciting voices on the UK comedy circuit.
Blending intelligent commentary with laugh-out-loud moments, this is a lively and engaging evening of stand-up from a performer at the top of his game.
Norwich Theatre Stage Two offers an intimate performance space, known for hosting comedy, new work and touring shows, providing audiences with a close-up and engaging live experience.
