Ballet Black at 25 comes to Oxford Playhouse for a two-night run, celebrating a quarter-century of groundbreaking work in British dance.

 

Taking place on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd May at 7:30pm, the production highlights the company’s commitment to innovation, representation and storytelling through movement. Founded to create opportunities and visibility within ballet, Ballet Black has become a leading voice in contemporary performance.

The programme presents a powerful double bill of contemporary ballet, combining expressive choreography with rich musical scores and emotionally resonant narratives. Each piece reflects the company’s focus on bringing underrepresented stories and perspectives to the forefront of the stage.
