Employability Panel: Black History Month

Tuesday 12 October 2021

Whether you’ve already unlocked your inner boss and are looking to fine-tune some skills, or you’re just taking your first steps, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Hosted by a member of UPSU, you will be introduced to a few professional black leaders from different industries and guided through a series of employability-related topics ranging from the experiences, to the successes, to the injustices our panelists have faced as black leaders in the working world.

You can submit your specific questions to our panel in advance using this form. Panelists will prepare to talk on the following topics:

Has anyone inspired you within your field of work, and if so, who and why?

What has been your greatest challenge or barrier during your professional career?

What are your main motivations within your job role?

If you could give your younger self any advice regarding employment or graduate opportunities, what would it be?

If you think of a question whilst in the room, please do raise your hand for a chance to have your questions answered by our panel!

Note that this panel will be recorded for use throughout UPSU’s Black History Month 2021 but don’t worry, we will not show you on camera. However, if you choose to ask a question in person your voice will be recorded.

This event is sponsored by Santander.
