The summer of 2016 sees Southampton’s leading reggae sound systems join forces to bring a Caribbean Carnival experience to Southampton’s number 1 garden party venue, SoBar.

With a full sound system sound clash between the mighty Headsessions crew and Maka Foundation. These two crews are the south’s leading reggae party hosts, ‘Maka Foundation – Southamptons leading dancehall champions VS Headsessions Sound system – Southamptons leading roots and culture defenders. It will be a full battle royale as they dig through their extensive record boxes.

Full on bass vibrations from their home made systems get the ground shaking, with samples and effects whirring around the head space.

The Sobar marquee will be in place, so that traditional British summer time weather won’t dampen any spirits and put a holt to proceedings. Plus full carnival dress will be installed around the venue, and the Caribbean kitchen will be open for service serving up taste bud tantalising and mouth watering recipes.
Proceedings kick off at 2pm, with the Garden open till 10pm.

Even when the garden closes, the festivities continue inside as we welcome Reverence Sound as masters of ceremony, keeping the dance floor pumping till 2am!
