Ankara Festival UK returns for an inspiring evening celebrating African fashion, culture, creativity and innovation as part of Black History Month and Nigerian Independence Month. Hosted at the iconic Porchester Hall in London, the festival brings together designers, artists, entrepreneurs, performers and cultural leaders for one of the UK’s leading showcases of African heritage and contemporary creativity.
Under the 2026 theme, “Crowned in Culture. Designed for the Future.”, the festival explores the enduring influence of African textiles, fashion and design while celebrating the creativity and innovation shaping the future of global culture. Visitors can enjoy spectacular runway shows featuring contemporary Ankara and African print couture, alongside cultural exhibitions, live performances and opportunities to meet designers and creatives from across the African diaspora.
A highlight of the evening will be the Diaspora Excellence Awards, recognising individuals who have made outstanding contributions to fashion, media, business, culture and community development. The awards celebrate achievement, leadership and creativity across the African diaspora while recognising those whose work continues to inspire future generations.
Throughout the evening, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore vendor exhibitions, network with industry professionals and experience the richness and diversity of African culture through fashion, music, art and performance.
