Free Windrush in Westbourne Walking Tour, Westbourne and Paddington

A free walking tour will take place on Saturday 22 June from 11:00 to 13:00, offering an opportunity to explore the rich and often overlooked Black history of Westbourne and Paddington.

From the Windrush generation to community activists and local residents, the walk highlights the individuals who shaped the area over the decades.

The tour begins at Grand Junction, Rowington Close, W2 5TF, and follows a route through cultural landmarks, blue plaques, and significant local sites connected to Black British heritage. Participants will learn about the lives and legacies of people whose contributions have had a lasting impact on the community.

Covering approximately two hours at a moderate walking pace, the route offers an engaging way to connect with the hidden stories of West London. The walk will conclude at the starting point, Grand Junction.

This walking tour is free to attend and open to anyone interested in learning more about the history and heritage of the Windrush generation and beyond.
