The Colour of Love – a celebration of mixed race relationships in Nottinghamshire from 1940s to 1970s

The Colour of Love celebrates previously unexplored Nottinghamshire history of the lives of mixed-race couples in the not-so-distant past – couples who found love; and built lives and families together against a British society prone to view mixed-race relationships with muted tolerance at best, and open racist prejudice at worst.

Join us for the first screening of our DVD, which explores the love shared; and the challenges and resilience of these couples. Followed by a discussion with the *Colour of Love *team, before meeting us and the Contributors in the Stalls Foyer.

Limited copies of our Publication containing personal photographs and excerpts from our Contributors stories, will also be available for purchase.

This project was made possible with support from the National Heritage Lottery Fund
