SING A BOOK invites you to our Black History Month event to raise funds for our potential Easter 2022 children’s theatre project.
Our recent production of Dido Through the Looking Glass – The Musical highlighted the wealth of talent that we have in our community, both young and senior.
So, for our first Friends of Dido fundraising event we would like to give members of our community, any age or background, the opportunity to SHINE and have their 3 minutes of fame.
As this is a Black History event, we want to showcase our heroes and sheroes from the British Black community who have made a significant contribition to society, past, present, dead or alive, and we would like you to help us celebrate them.
Come and watch the show or be part of it! For an extra £1 you can book one of the performers’ slots, we are looking for variety: music, drama, comedy, spoken word, poetry, magic, dance… Each act is limited to 3 minutes to allow maximum participation and there are only 15 places! So register early to avoid disappointment.
