For #BlackHistoryMonth 2023, the theme is “Saluting our Sisters”. Honouring the vital roles black women have played in history, from literature and music to politics and healthcare.
BIPC Greater Manchester would like to honour Black Women from a business perspective here and now from the ten boroughs – looking at startups to established businesswomen across all sectors sharing their stories about their journey.

Carol Ann Whitehead FRSA CMgr CCMI is Deputy Chair of the Chartered Management Institute Womens Board.
A proud Mancunian of mixed Jamaican and Lebanese heritage, she is co-Founder and Managing Director of the UK based publishing and events agency, “The Zebra Partnership.”
A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an award-winning Managing Director of The Zebra Partnership. It serves as a Publishing, Events, and Campaigns agency working with consultants and performers on a project-by-project basis in the United Kingdom. The Zebra Partnership also serves a diverse overseas audience, from festivals to royal visits.
Carol Ann is currently living in Northern Ireland, running her business remotely and chaperoning her teenage daughter, who is under contract with BBC Television. Carol Ann is a campaigner, social entrepreneur, civic activist and one of the most prolific social media movers.
