Almost one year after the previous Poplar Poetry Evening, Your Stage… Your Show returns with an evening of poetry, food and unforgettable creative expression.
The event brings together different voices, ideas and performance styles in a welcoming environment. Whether you are an established performer, trying an open mic for the first time or simply want to enjoy an evening of spoken-word creativity, everyone is invited to take part.
Come along, experience the performances and, if you feel inspired, take the stage and make it your show.
The event forms part of Honouring Our Communities, a Black History Month 2026 programme rooted in arts, culture and heritage and created for and with the residents of Tower Hamlets.
Taking place throughout October, the programme features exhibitions, wellness activities, conversations and performances celebrating Black creativity while honouring Black history, culture and talent.
